PKC – What is it?
PKC is a meal club where the members are able to purchase wholesome prepared meals ready for their freezer or fridge. It is the simple answer to “What’s for dinner”. It is as easy as ordering, having it delivered, and cooking! Our motto is Keep Calm, Dinner’s On!
How it Works
Join the Club by registering online and you are a member.
As a member you are able to order meals.
Every 2-3 weeks a menu will be released on the website and Facebook page. These menus will consist of 5-6 meals. Order one or all by the order deadline. Simply go to the website fill up your cart, choose your delivery location or pick up at the kitchen, pay online or choose to pay upon delivery. That’s it, 3 minutes and you can have your freezer stocked with meals ready when you are!
Delivery days and times will be posted along with the menu. All the meals are ready for your fridge (use within 5 days), or freezer (use within 3 months). Some meals come already frozen and that will be mentioned in the products description.
First time members will have the opportunity to purchase a Club insulated bag to transport their meals. These are reusable and are only $5.
Delivery, How it works.
The Prairie Kitchen is taking a “milk man” model for delivery. If you are in the city limits of Leavenworth, Lansing, or Ft. Leavenworth then I will be able to deliver to your home. You can provide your own cooler and ice pack or purchase one from me. On the designated delivery day for your location I will bring your meals and simply place them in your cooler. The approximate delivery window will be posted online. A $3 delivery fee will be automatically added at checkout when delivery is selected. If you live outside of the delivery routes then you still may pick up at the Prairie Kitchen during designated Pick Up hours with no extra fee. You may also select a business or where you work for your deliveries if they are in town.
If I have a location that multiple people order from then delivery fee will be waived. I currently deliver to day cares, several schools, and offices. So think about including your co workers in the club!
About the Meals.
All meals serve 4-6 people. I have a family of 5 (3 teenagers) and they feed all of us, usually with leftovers.
I use high quality ingredients and whenever possible I make items from scratch to reduce salt and preservatives.
All cooking instructions are on the labels.
All meals are picked up ready for the fridge ( use within 5 days), or freezer ( use within 3 months).
All food safety precautions have been taken for both preparation and transport/storage.
The meals main ingredients have been listed in the meals description on the menu. Substitutions and omissions are allowed if you contact us. (within reason).
Each meal is priced entirely on ingredient and packaging costs. I strive to keep each meal as affordable as possible. Pricing is done with each menu release and the cost will reflect the current market cost for your meal.
Most meals can be split into 2 smaller portions. There is a $1 fee for this option and needs to be selected at checkout. This fee pays for the extra packaging. Meals that cannot be split are identified in their descriptions or on the current menu page.
